On this date I got to interview Pashyn of Hawaiian style viral comedy fame.
The first time I learned of Pashyn was from her work with Lanai in the Consolidated Theaters 100 year anniversary shorts before movies were played last year. I didn't know who she was but my friends were familiar with her comedy. I had to interview her for work and I'm really glad I did.
She is a very friendly local girl from Hau‘ula and Waianae respectively. These days she is a full-time content creator for her many social media channels and other businesses that conduct business in Hawai‘i (she was most recently featured on a Volcano E-Cig commercial with other local comedians.
I met with her wife and we had a great conversation about her start in content creation, how she utilized social media to get where she is today and what she is doing now such as helping younger artist grow their platforms. I admired the way she goes out of her way to help people including aspiring performers or those who approach her on the street and would like a word/photo.
